Roofing is one of the few trades where you can't easily inspect the work yourself. That's why everything below is written down: the guarantees, the insurance, the payment stages and the one situation where a repair isn't guaranteed. If something isn't covered here, Jamie will answer it on the phone.
Who will I speak to when I call?+
Jamie, the owner. He answers the phone personally and attends assessments himself, so the person quoting your roof is the person running the job.
Is an assessment free?+
Yes. Assessments for potential work are free. A roof survey: a detailed report on the condition of the roof, including checks for damp, is a separate paid service, priced on enquiry depending on the size of the property.
What guarantees do you offer?+
Full re-roofs carry a 15-year workmanship guarantee. Resitrix EPDM flat roofs carry a 20-year manufacturer guarantee. Where we advise a full re-roof and you choose a repair instead, that is recorded on the invoice and no workmanship guarantee is offered on that repair.
Are you insured?+
Yes, £2,000,000 public liability and £10,000,000 employers' liability.
How does payment work?+
On larger jobs, payment is taken in three stages: after the first day's work once scaffolding is up and the roof is stripped and felted, at the point the roof is fully stripped, and the final payment on completion, once you're satisfied. We accept cash and bank transfer; we don't have a card machine.
Do you publish prices?+
No. We don't use 'from' prices because they rarely reflect the real job. You get a full, detailed written quote after the assessment.
