Assessments, surveys and quotes

Assessments for potential work are free and carried out without obligation. A roof survey: an in-depth report on roof condition and damp, is a separate paid service, priced on enquiry. Quotes are given in writing against the condition found at the time of the visit. Where hidden defects are uncovered once a roof is opened up, any additional work is discussed and agreed with you before it is carried out.

Payment

Larger jobs are paid in three stages: a payment after the first day's work, a payment once the roof is fully stripped, and the balance on completion, once you are satisfied with the work. Payment is accepted by cash or bank transfer. We do not have a card machine.

Guarantees

Full re-roofs carry a 15-year workmanship guarantee from Roofserve Ltd. Resitrix EPDM flat roofs carry a 20-year manufacturer guarantee on the system, installed by an accredited installer. Guarantees cover the work and system described on your invoice.

Where we assess a roof, advise that a full re-roof is required, and you choose a repair instead, that decision is recorded on the invoice and no workmanship guarantee is offered on that repair. Guarantees do not cover damage caused by third parties, alterations made by others, or failure of parts of the roof that were not included in the work quoted.

Insurance

Roofserve Ltd holds public liability cover of £2,000,000 and employers' liability cover of £10,000,000.

Access and site conditions

You agree to provide safe access to the property for the agreed working period, including space for scaffolding and materials where required. Work may be rescheduled where weather makes it unsafe or would compromise the quality of the finished roof; we will keep you informed of any change to the schedule.
